Job Summary

The Augustine Institute is seeking a part-time Barista to join our team at Tolle Lege, our in-house coffee bar. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality craft coffee drinks, providing exceptional customer service, and engaging with our community in a welcoming and inclusive manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages and specialty drinks
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons
  • Engage with customers, answering questions about the Augustine Institute and the Catholic faith
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including counting the cash drawer and running reports via the POS interface
Requirements
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Previous food handling or restaurant experience a plus
  • Previous barista experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a productive and collaborative member of the team
  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
