Job Summary:

The University of Miami UHealth System, Department of Urology, is seeking a Full Time Radiologic Technologist 2 to work at Desai Sethi Medical Center in Miami. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort during scans, while also maintaining accurate patient medical histories and records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, and computer-generated information to determine whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Record thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
• Explain procedures, observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan, monitor patients' conditions and reactions, and report abnormal signs to a physician.
• Position and immobilize patients on examining table.
• Arrange imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance.
• Record, process, maintain patient data and treatment records, and prepare reports.
• Organize examination rooms, ensuring that necessary equipment is ready for use.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program.
• Must possess a valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
• ARRT registered with ARRT certification in primary modality required.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 year of relevant experience, will consider new graduates from accredited schools.
