Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Generation Supervisor to join our team at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating the integration of generation resources into the ERCOT System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the integration of generation resources into the ERCOT System from initial application to commercial operations.
  • Review and approve screening studies, interconnection study scopes, and Standard Generation Interconnection Agreements.
  • Develop and maintain databases for Resource Entity modeling to ensure consistency across departments.
  • Represent ERCOT in technical committees and subcommittees, and serve as an expert witness on generation interconnection matters.
  • Develop and sustain a high-level understanding of competitive energy markets and work proactively with upper management to plan and execute ERCOT's mission and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power engineering, electric transmission, or a related field.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team or projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
  • PE Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
Work Environment

This role requires on-site work in Taylor, TX, with an estimated 2 days per week. Circumstances and business needs may require more frequent on-site work.
