Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager to join our team at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) for landfill projects. This includes pre-construction planning, monitoring, sampling, testing, and reporting to state regulatory agencies.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0-4 years of construction quality assurance, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, project management, or solid waste landfill CQA.
  • EIT Licensure or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating and interpreting data.
  • Experience providing verbal and written recommendations, producing reports, calculations, technical figures, charts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Field experience and familiarity with construction sites.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to complete projects and tasks independently, as well as work collaboratively as part of a project team.
  • History and interest in continued involvement in professional/industry organizations.

What You Will Be Doing Daily:

  • Oversee CQA for landfill projects, including pre-construction planning, monitoring, sampling, testing, and reporting.
  • Implement technical requirements to ensure compliance with client project specifications, directing field staff in sampling, testing, and on-site data collection/documentation.
  • Work closely with a team of geotechnical engineers to review settlement, slope stability, seepage, evaluated liner systems, leachate collection, and closure cap calculations.
  • Assign and evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
  • Perform engineering calculations using established formulas and skills.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence regarding project direction and progress.
  • Undertake a variety of field and office assignments.
