Job Summary
The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Field Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for making strategic decisions that sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the benefit of present and future generations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement land and resource management plans in collaboration with federal, state, tribal, and local governments, as well as private landowners and public land users.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field office staff to ensure effective problem-solving and goal achievement.
- Coordinate with employees to plan and schedule work, setting priorities and developing schedules for completion of tasks.
- Monitor work progress to ensure team members complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Resolve conflicting resource demands between teams and obtain necessary resources to produce high-quality products on time.
- Recruit and hire the best-qualified individuals for positions and provide training and development opportunities for personnel within their specialties and other related disciplines.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
