Job Description

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master to drive the project delivery of a cloud-based data management platform. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective cloud-based solutions for complex data management problems.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software development life cycle models, expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices, and experience managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.

The selected candidate will:

  • Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle, including project plans, release plans, resource allocation, and management of project risks, scope, schedule, and delivery of value.
  • Coordinate Agile Ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.
  • Track and communicate project's progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, stakeholders, and management.
  • Establish an environment where the teams can be effective and help remove obstacles.
  • Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
  • Ensure a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team.
  • Track and report team velocity and other project metrics.
  • Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase productivity.
  • Help Product Owner and team with Product backlog management.
  • Adhere to project management practices as defined.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and support data management needs.
  • Ensure data is collected, stored, and processed securely and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to support decision making by project management teams.
  • Provide training and support for end users to ensure the platform is used effectively.
  • Demonstrate capability and experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining local master data systems and processes across business units and functions.
  • Understand data and leverage it to deliver business value.
  • Ability to discuss requirements with data teams.
  • Experience in data governance concepts and data governance implementations.

Ability to use Agile approach and methodology to drive master data governance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitate design workshops for assigned project.
  • Ensure definition of test objectives, designed test plans, and test cases for assigned project.
  • Provide management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Define, measure, and clearly communicate progress with metrics.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.
  • Experience managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.
  • Ability to work with customers, understand their business practices, and manage their expectations.
  • Ability to set clear performance standards and hold team members accountable, while keeping team engaged and on track.
  • Ability to help Product Owners to create and prioritize Product Backlog.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.
  • Ability to balance the competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Well-versed with Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.
  • PMP and CSM Certifications required.
  • SAFe Certification preferred.
  • Experience with SAFe framework is a plus.

Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software systems, including Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with data processing and storage tools (e.g., Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL, Synapse).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation data and project management with transportation data is a plus.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure delivery (networking, physical plant, vendor management, site provisioning) is preferred.
  • Experience managing large, multi-stream projects.
  • Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
