Job Overview:
As a MIG Welder, you will leverage your expertise in welding and fabrication on a daily basis. This role involves working with a diverse range of products, including agricultural machinery, storage solutions, fertilizer applicators, and HVAC systems for industrial applications. The dynamic nature of this position guarantees a variety of tasks that change weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on agricultural machinery using MIG welding techniques.
- Interpret blueprints to accurately layout and assemble products.
- Collaborate with fellow welders and team leads to ensure timely project completion.
- Fabricate materials and refine welds using grinding tools.
- Operate overhead cranes to facilitate the movement of materials as required.
- Engage with other departments to maintain a seamless workflow.
- Assist in training new team members once proficient in your role.
Working Hours: This position operates Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional half-day Fridays. Currently, the workload is substantial, averaging 50 hours per week.
Essential Skills:
- Hard Skills: Proficient in welding, fabrication, blueprint interpretation, and crane operation.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, effective communication, and training capabilities.
Work Environment:
This role is conducted entirely on-site, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The workspace is designed to maintain a comfortable temperature, even during warmer periods.
