Key Responsibilities- Interpret and Transcribe Medication Orders: Accurately interpret and transcribe medication orders to ensure seamless communication between healthcare providers and patients.
- Provide Medication Therapy: Effectively provide medication therapy to patients, taking into account their medical history, allergies, and other relevant factors.
- Compound and Dispense Pharmaceuticals: Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Monitor Drug Therapy Regimens: Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and other potential issues.
- Suggest Therapeutic Alternatives: Suggest cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives to medical staff, promoting rational drug therapy selection.
- Assist with Clinical Services: Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred
- Certifications: Current Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Sterile Products (IV) Certification through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
