About the Role:
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other clinical staff to assess, plan, organize, and implement Physical Therapy rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Physical Therapy treatment plans to meet patient goals and needs.
- Assess and interpret evaluation and test results to provide quality care.
- Identify and document patient goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
- Confer with patients, medical practitioners, or appropriate others to plan, implement, or assess interventions.
- Evaluate the effects of Physical Therapy treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Administer Physical Therapy treatments, including massages, traction, and physical agents.
- Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient charts or enter information into computers.
- Discharge patients from Physical Therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals.
- Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Provide educational information about Physical Therapy, injury prevention, ergonomics, or ways to promote health.
- Direct, supervise, assess, and communicate with supportive personnel.
- Teach Physical Therapy students or those in other health professions.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of Physical Therapy Programs.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 3-5 years of experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for years of experience.
- Experience in treatment of patients with musculoskeletal problems in an outpatient setting preferred.
- Washington State Physical Therapist License.
