Job Overview

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment to ensure compliance with trucking regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting repairs and performing preventative maintenance while handling road rescue as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs using the Shop Fax system.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience is preferred.
  • Alternatively, 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification is acceptable.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
  • Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $26.00 per hour, plus excellent benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and a $5,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires.

Our team members enjoy a flexible schedule, working Sunday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Overtime may be required when needed.
