Job Summary

Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer in Training to join our team in Lakewood, Colorado. As a key member of our Structural Engineering Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from new building design to existing building investigations and retrofits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize computer design and graphics software to complete project Construction Documents.
  • Study and apply building code, material code, and jurisdictional requirements to complete project design calculations under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Assist Project Manager in Construction Administration, including checking of submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting field observations.
  • Communicate and coordinate project design with clients, other team consultants, and contractors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering field.
  • Has passed FE Examination.
  • 0-4 years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering field.
  • Bachelor's degree received from an institution with ABET accreditation in field of study.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Working knowledge of building and material design codes.
  • Experience using computer design and graphics software for building structural design and documentation (AutoDesk REVIT, RAM, SAP, ETABS, RISA, etc.).
