Senior Microbiologist

6+ months contract - potential conversion to FTE

Onsite in Cary, IL

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our R&D team at GForce Life Sciences. The ideal candidate will contribute to formulation design, build SOPs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead anti-microbial efficacy and bio-burden testing for new formulations.
  • Collaborate on formulation design and evaluate product effectiveness.

R&D and Development:

  • Design and conduct experiments to improve formulation performance.
  • Provide insights and solutions for formulation challenges.

SOP and Compliance:

  • Create and maintain SOPs for lab processes.
  • Train staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Equipment and Operations:

  • Operate and maintain essential laboratory equipment, including incubators, refrigerators, biosafety cabinets, and steam sterilizers.
  • BS in Microbiology or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years in microbiology, with experience in formulation development and testing.
  • Proven track record in R&D and SOP management.

Contract Details:

  • 6+ months with possible contract to hire FTE
  • Onsite at Cary, IL
