As part of our mission, we are seeking an Ultrasound Associate Manager to join our dynamic team within the imaging department. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on providing exceptional patient care across a diverse patient demographic, from pediatric to geriatric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Ultrasound locations, excluding Breast Centers.
- Manage technician schedules and performance.
- Collaborate as part of the Banner Imaging Operations Leadership Team.
- Drive growth and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure optimal equipment management and maintenance.
- Foster employee engagement and effective communication.
- Co-manage staff alongside Site Managers.
While Tempe serves as the home base, this role encompasses responsibilities across various locations in the Valley.
Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Availability for occasional weekend communication may be required.
This position entails planning for effective resource management related to equipment and supplies specific to ultrasound imaging. The Ultrasound Associate Manager will supervise staff, serving as a clinical resource to team members and other departments, ensuring coordinated specialty care within the imaging services.
Core Functions:
- Conduct interviews, select, and hire qualified staff, facilitating performance management sessions in line with organizational policies.
- Manage daily patient care schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and resource coordination.
- Act as a clinical expert, providing guidance to patients, families, and internal departments regarding policies and procedures.
- Support departmental goals, participating in quality management activities and strategic planning.
- Perform ultrasound procedures as necessary, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of practice.
- Ensure efficient workflow and adequate inventory of supplies to prevent service interruptions.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
- Advanced certification in specialty areas (if applicable).
- BLS certification is required.
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
