Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with certified Physical Therapists to administer treatment programs and assist patients in their recovery from various illnesses and injuries.
- Provide personalized care for individuals with diverse conditions, including infectious diseases and co-morbidities.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient care services.
- Administer manual exercises and instruct patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
- Help patients use supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physical therapy and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the facility, HHSC, the State of Texas, and the CTD Department.
- Knowledge of adult education principles, practices, and techniques.
- Knowledge of training procedures and methods.
- Knowledge of group processes, dynamics, and interpersonal relations.
- Skills in designing, writing, editing, and producing educational, informational, and technical materials.
- Ability to lead, instruct, and motivate others in a professional manner.
- Ability to analyze training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures and organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently, effectively, and concurrently.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be committed to providing exceptional patient care and service.
