Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Rhode Island Medical Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
  • Assist radiologists in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Produce high-quality films for radiologists to evaluate, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
  • Perform quality control functions related to mammography, ensuring compliance with MQSA standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a mammographer, with a strong background in performing mammography QA under the MQSA Standard.
  • ARRT registration and graduation from a Radiologic Technology Program required.
  • TOMO experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and high levels of patient care.
Physical Demands

The Mammography Technologist will be required to walk and stand intermittently throughout the day, with the ability to lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds. Additionally, the ability to move patients from scanner tables and transport patients in wheelchairs and/or stretchers is essential.
