Position Summary
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of various functional areas, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives related to Net Income from Operations, manufacturing efficiencies, resource utilization, customer delivery schedules, overhead costs, and product quality metrics.
This role involves conducting comprehensive program performance, financial, and statistical analyses within manufacturing and engineering sectors, enabling proactive measures to meet or exceed customer and senior management expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of customer margins by contract, model, and part number.
- Communicate cost components effectively to management, facilitating informed decisions to enhance margins while upholding quality and delivery standards.
- Identify and implement efficient methodologies for analyzing financial results and operational data, supporting Purchasing, Programs, and Manufacturing Operations management.
- Deliver insightful information to management, accompanied by corrective action plans to achieve desired financial outcomes.
- Analyze trends in direct and indirect labor levels.
- Maintain open communication with managers regarding spending and financial performance, fostering strong relationships across all management levels.
- Conduct indirect cost and program cost analyses to ensure operational and financial performance targets are met.
- Adhere to the Company's human relations policies, ensuring fair treatment for all employees while optimizing productivity and resource use.
- Implement the Company's Equal Opportunity Policy in all personnel actions, driving effective affirmative action to meet facility goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree, particularly an MBA, is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Management and/or Production reporting/analysis.
- Strong program finance experience, particularly in ETC and EAC.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Preferred:
- Practical experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to engage with senior management on corporate, financial, and operational objectives.
- Ability to conduct and present complex empirical and statistical analyses, including data identification, model design, data interpretation, and formulating actionable recommendations.
The sensitive nature of this role requires a high degree of maturity, tact, and diplomacy while delivering authentic and meaningful insights.
