Estes Express is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of trailers, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and diagnose trailer issues, performing repairs and maintenance as needed
- Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals to complete repairs
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in trailer repair or a related field
- Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
- Valid CDL and acceptable MVR (if driving on public roads)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
The Trailer Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, often in varying weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are required to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.
