Overview

Avera is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for patients, staff, and guests in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials to enhance the dining experience.
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition Services Manager to plan and execute special events and functions.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chef in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 80 hours every 2 weeks, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.
