Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Hire, train, and manage a team of culinary staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Culinary Operations: Plan and implement menus, manage food costs, and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and manage kitchen inventory and supplies.
  • Menu Development: Create new and innovative menu ideas, work with the culinary team to develop and implement menu changes, and ensure menu items meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop culinary staff, provide training and coaching, and foster a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent culinary skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification and any other relevant certifications.
