Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Full Steam Staffing in Hollister, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective coverage and maintenance of our ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, boiler/steam, and compressed air systems.


**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform all preventative maintenance to the system, including draining oil pots, oil and filter changes, and adjusting controls to obtain specified operation of equipment.
  • Observe and record temperature and pressure readings for system and equipment, and make periodic inspections to observe operating conditions and need for repair or adjustment.
  • Remove ice buildup from evaporator drain pans, investigate the cause, and correct the problem.
  • Work in engine room, cooler, freezer, and IQF areas, and collaborate with refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipe fitters to ensure compliance with company safety policies and work standards.
  • Comply with and monitor operation for compliance with all elements of the "Process Safety Management Program."


**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience operating large refrigeration systems, including multi-stage ammonia compression systems, electrical control systems, and liquid recirculation systems.
  • Ability to interpret piping and instrumentation drawings and work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Physical requirements include walking, bending, squatting, and lifting approximately 50 lbs, with a working environment inside cold temperatures and outside varied weather conditions.
