Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Director for Patient Care in our Acute Inpatient Setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning
    • Collect and analyze patient data to identify nursing priorities and develop individualized plans of care.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to validate and document patient priorities.
  • Implementation and Evaluation
    • Provide direct care to assigned patients, consistent with established nursing plans.
    • Delegate tasks to members of the healthcare team, ensuring completion of assigned tasks.
    • Monitor quality of care delivered and ensure patient safety.
  • Patient and Family Education
    • Identify and assess patient learning needs, and provide education accordingly.
    • Use language and terminology familiar to the patient, and provide examples to clarify ideas.
  • Professional Accountability
    • Evaluate own nursing practice in relation to professional standards, state statutes, and current knowledge.
    • Take personal accountability for maintaining competency through education and professional activities.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
  • Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency from another organization.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced acute inpatient setting, with a significant amount of shift, weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
