About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PhD Scientist, Neuroscience to join our team at Neurocrine Biosciences. As a key member of our pharmacovigilance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our products and contributing to the development of new treatments for debilitating diseases and disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support pharmacovigilance activities, including signal management, safety and benefit-risk evaluations, and periodic safety reports.
  • Collaborate with the DSPV Medical Director to review and interpret aggregate safety data, perform signal detection and evaluation activities, and participate in independent Data Monitoring Committee meetings.
  • Support the preparation of periodic safety reports and contribute to the development of new treatments for debilitating diseases and disorders.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to execute clinical trials and support DSPV Operations with case processing activities as needed.
Requirements
  • BS/BA or RN degree in a related scientific field and 8+ years of experience in drug safety in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with 3+ years of pharmacovigilance compliance experience.
  • Master's degree in a related scientific field and 6+ years of similar experience, or PhD or PharmD in a related scientific field and 4+ years of similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US and EU pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements and current pharmacovigilance practices.
  • Knowledge of drug safety databases and proficiency with safety coding dictionaries, such as MedDRA and WHODRUG.
