The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the precise and prompt evaluation of both new and pre-owned units, as well as conducting regular inventory assessments of all units within the Optimum RV inventory system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute preliminary evaluations on all incoming units, ensuring functionality, identifying missing or defective parts, and noting any damages. Document findings according to company protocols using the designated checklist.
- Notify management of any significant concerns regarding new or pre-owned units prior to allowing transport drivers to proceed or submitting inspection documentation to the sales or consignment divisions.
- Welcome and assist transport drivers at the delivery location for unit assessments.
- Record and communicate customer inquiries and concerns, including any operational issues that need to be addressed by technicians, to the appropriate advisor or sales manager.
- Perform inventory audits to support weekly and monthly counts of the inventory lot.
- Conduct initial cleaning of each incoming unit.
- Capture photographs of unit interiors for documentation purposes.
- Upload inventory-related documents to relevant departments and manufacturers.
- Utilize Lot Metrix for scanning and maintaining inventory records.
- Participate in all mandatory company meetings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols consistently.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
