Job Title: Behavioral Healthcare Consultant

Job Summary:

Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery is seeking a skilled Behavioral Healthcare Consultant to provide specialty behavioral health services and consultation to Department of Children & Families (DCF), Child Protective Investigators, and DCF Legal Staff. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field and 5 years of post-master's clinical experience, with a Florida LMHC or LCSW license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialty behavioral health services and consultation to DCF Child Protective Investigators and DCF Legal Staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case staffing and interagency staffing.
  • Assist in identifying community services to assist children and families related to mental health issues.
  • Provide screening, counseling, crisis intervention, and other interventions as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of cultural, social, religious, and bio-psychological factors that impact individual and group definitions of self/individual.
  • Demonstrate skills in assessment of co-occurring disorders presented by clients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate interventions based on recovery and individual roles in the community.
  • Complete and document assessments, integrated summaries, treatment plans, and continuing care/discharge plans, diagnosis in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide least restrictive but most appropriate treatment.
  • Demonstrate ability to facilitate individual, interpersonal, and communal interactions within a group context.
  • Demonstrate skill in facilitating the exploration of continuing care issues.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain knowledge of current trends in the field.
  • Display sound theoretical knowledge of substance abuse treatment, psychopathology, and personality theory and growth and development.
  • Demonstrate a good theoretical understanding of family system theory.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Complete all other duties and special projects as assigned.
