Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager - Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. This is a staff management position responsible for overseeing warehouse staff responsible for receiving, unloading, inspecting, picking, packing, and/or shipping goods. The successful candidate will monitor associate productivity, inventory management, as well as packing and shipping accuracy to ensure quality customer service to all Vallen customers.

The Warehouse Operations Manager - Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, setting goals and daily productivity expectations, maintaining a positive and collaborative culture, and ensuring team resources are used effectively. They will also support sales growth through excellent customer service and provide supply chain solutions, encouraging and promoting a high level of customer service with accurate and on-time deliveries.

Key Performance Indicators for this role include Warehouse Response Rate, Same Day Shipping, External Accuracy, Lines Shipped Per Man Hour, Cost Per Line, and Cycle Count Accuracy. The successful candidate must be able to track and perform to Vallen’s standardized operating metrics.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have strong computer knowledge, experience with a Warehouse Management System, and knowledge of SX.e. They must also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

The Warehouse Operations Manager - Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for staff management duties, including interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, training, delegating work assignments, and disciplining associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards. They must also be able to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments, long periods of time working on a computer, and performing repetitive key-boarding activities. Extended day, evening, and weekend work may be required. The ideal candidate must be able to handle and work physical inventory, lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance, and regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
