Job Summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Treatment Planning: Contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans, including setting goals and implementing interventions to promote patient progress.
  • Therapeutic Milieu: Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred.
  • Experience: One year of Psych experience required; previous psychiatric/substance inpatient experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: CPR certification required; restraint reduction de-escalation/crisis intervention experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Critical thinking, advanced level knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities, effective oral and written communication, typing and computer skills, crisis management, time management, delegating, coaching, and team building skills.
Schedule and Work Environment
  • Full-time Position: Full-time position includes working every other weekend; must be willing to work E/O holiday and E/O weekend.
  • Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to similar or lower acuity units if needed.
