Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer II to join our team at Sentry Equipment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and maintaining a range of company products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering duties to analyze new and existing products, ensuring design simplification, standardization, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, bills-of-materials, and installation manuals.
  • Collaborate with sales, other engineers, and product specialists to develop product modifications and new company products.
  • Apply applicable codes and standards, such as ASME, NEMA, and API.
  • Assist in testing and debugging of assigned products.
  • Maintain project requirements, schedules, and specifications in a deadline-based environment.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree required (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical).
  • Extensive design and application experience with similar products.
  • Minimum 2-3 years industrial experience, with design exposure to various engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer applications, including Solidworks, AutoCad, and MS Office.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, P&ID, and other technical drawings.
  • Strong interpretations of project specifications and able to properly assess risks and make decisions.
