Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome and serve customers to provide an outstanding shopping experience, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Department Maintenance: Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to company standards and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Encourage teamwork, communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and respond to questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure proper inventory levels, monitor stock, and perform receiving procedures according to company guidelines.
  • Merchandising and Display: Follow merchandising guidelines, including display models, signage, and product packaging, to create an attractive and appealing store environment.
  • Physical Demands: Perform tasks that require frequent walking, standing, turning, kneeling, reaching, squatting, stooping/bending, lifting, and carrying objects up to 80 lbs, and pushing/pulling objects up to 2,000 lbs.
Requirements
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Math Skills: Demonstrate basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Food Safety: Maintain knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations, and identify potential hazards.
  • Availability: Be available to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends, and be flexible to relocate to another store location.
