Creative Cake Artist

We are seeking a skilled Creative Cake Artist to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes, tarts, and other sweet treats that exceed our customers' expectations.

About the Role:

• Design and decorate cakes, tarts, and other baked goods for special occasions and everyday sales.
• Work closely with our pastry chefs to create new and innovative designs that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with our sales team to merchandise and showcase products in an attractive and appealing way.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Perform opening, mid-day, and closing duties as assigned, including receiving inventory, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

• 6-12 months of retail or restaurant experience, preferably in a bakery or pastry environment.
• Excellent cake decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques and ability to create decorative flowers and borders.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications.
• Prior experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail environment is preferred.
