As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns, including individual, corporate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt returns. You will also be responsible for preparing complex income tax returns, quarterly tax projections, and reviewing tax preparation work papers and initial reviews of returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of federal and state tax returns, including individual, corporate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt returns.
  • Preparation of complex income tax returns, including individual, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns.
  • Preparation of quarterly tax projections and review of tax preparation work papers and initial reviews of returns.
  • Review and oversight of tax preparation work papers and initial reviews of returns.
  • Review and oversight of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
  • Calculation and distribution of W-2s and 1099s.
  • Preparation of tax correspondence and assistance in negotiation with tax authorities.
  • Tax research and assistance with coordination of audits by various taxation authorities.
  • Assistance with entity creation and dissolution.
  • Assistance with training and educating staff accountants on tax-related information.
Requirements:
  • Active CPA license (TN or CA preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting, a business management firm, and/or the entertainment industry.
  • Experience in managing several concurrent projects for at least 2+ years.
  • BS Accounting, Finance, Economics with a strong academic record.
  • Master's in Taxation highly preferred.
