Position Overview

Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (CVRT) to join our esteemed team within the Cath Lab. Work Schedule:

  • Minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Contract duration of 13 weeks

Compensation: $75-$85 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures in Radiology, including interventional angiographic and cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all equipment components, particularly patient monitoring devices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care for patients in the unit.
  • Assist physicians during various procedures.
  • Skillfully select catheters and guide wires, and prepare suitable contrast materials using a power injector.
  • Set up the procedure room with the necessary equipment and imaging film.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing explanations and obtaining preliminary imaging.
  • Process and compile imaging for interpretation.
  • Adhere to established protocols to ensure radiation safety for both staff and patients.
  • Perform basic nursing tasks related to patient care, including monitoring vital signs as required.
  • Recognize arrhythmias and communicate patient status to the physician.
  • Accurately label all imaging according to anatomical site and patient identity.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
  • Possession of a Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Maryland and ARRT certification, or RCIS certification as an alternative.
  • Current BLS CPR certification.
