Rail Depot Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Depot Handler to join our team at Kemp Quarries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of material transfer equipment, including bins, chutes, and conveyors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance on material transfer equipment, including welding repair, lubrication, and replacement of bearings and gearboxes.
• Load and unload stockpiled product into railcars and customer trucks and trailers.
• Offload product from railcars into onsite stockpiles.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections, and repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Responsible for overall housekeeping, including plant, equipment, and site.

Requirements:

• Three years of experience in welding and material transfer equipment maintenance preferred.
• Mid-level experience on midsize to large front-end loaders required.
• Mechanical experience a plus.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Good safety, behavior, and attendance record.

Working Conditions:

The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. The ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment is essential.
