Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet diesel equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Diagnose and repair basic vehicle failures and conditions using advanced tools and technologies.
  • Complete quality maintenance on minor repairs and maintain accurate documentation through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $30.00 per hour or more depending on experience.
