We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications.
Responsibilities- Process orders and requests accurately and efficiently, verifying the appropriateness of medications for patients.
- Monitor workload fluctuations and adjust assignments as necessary to ensure timely delivery of medications.
- Conduct proactive drug therapy reviews and monitoring, providing drug information and patient counseling as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage patient drug therapy, ensuring effectiveness and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
- Current Texas Pharmacist license or eligibility within 90 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer service.
