Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist I to join our team at the State of California. As a Pharmacist I, you will play a critical role in promoting rational and cost-effective drug therapy through close participation in the drug therapy decision-making process with assigned physicians and other medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services using approved protocols in collaboration with other health professionals, including managing patient drug therapy, and providing patient education.
  • Compound prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Supervise the work of others.
  • Keep records and prepare reports.
  • Analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
  • Assimilate and provide information on drugs and their actions.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist I (MAND) certification.
  • Ability to compound prescriptions and stock pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
  • Ability to assimilate and provide information on drugs and their actions.
Working Conditions

Statewide travel will be required.
