Position Summary:

In this role, the technician will work under the guidance of physicians to support anesthesiologists and surgeons by delivering critical information during various intraoperative electroneurophysiological assessments. The technician will conduct both routine and advanced neurological evaluations, including:

  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Visual Evoked Potentials (B.A.E.R.)
  • Motor Evoked Potentials (MEP)
  • Electromyography (EMG) for upper and lower extremities, as well as cranial nerves

This position is essential for ensuring optimal patient outcomes during surgical interventions. The technician will also be responsible for identifying and interpreting neuroanatomical structures, recognizing abnormalities, and analyzing waveform irregularities.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Possess one of the following educational backgrounds:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Science
  • Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology with a current R.EEG T registry or R.EP T registry
  • Graduation from the Armed Forces school of Neurodiagnostic Technology with R.EEG T or R.EP T registry
  • Completion of an OJT or Certificate program with a current R.EEG T or R.EP T registry
Preferred: Registry through the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology in Certification Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM). If not currently held, the candidate must obtain this registry within two years of employment.Preferred: At least one year of experience in clinical modalities.Current CPR certification is mandatory.
