Job Title: Overnight Staff Nurse - Nursing Home

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As an Overnight Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our nursing home setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and performing acid base, ventilation, oxygenation, quality control, and diagnostic procedures. You will also be responsible for clinical and physical assessment to ensure individualized patient-focused therapy. Additionally, you will select, assemble, and maintain equipment while ensuring proper function and quality control, as well as maintaining infection control.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and perform acid base, ventilation, oxygenation, quality control, and diagnostic procedures
  • Conduct clinical and physical assessment to ensure individualized patient-focused therapy
  • Select, assemble, and maintain equipment while ensuring proper function and quality control
  • Maintain infection control and ensure a safe environment for patients
  • Provide education to students and individuals or groups upon request
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a valid and current Respiratory Care Practitioner License in the state of Mississippi
  • Must be able to care for a wide range of patients, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Primarily caring for adults
  • New incumbents must complete hospital orientation as well as Respiratory Care Department specific orientation
