Key Responsibilities- Imaging Protocol Review: Review imaging requests to determine proper exam protocols and identify any urgent or priority readings.
- Patient Identification and Communication: Confirm patient identity and communicate effectively with patients, translating examination procedures into clear and concise language.
- Radiographic Procedure Performance: Perform radiographic procedures with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality images and minimal patient stress.
- Image Review and Quality Control: Review processed radiographs to ensure exams are viewable, anatomically correct, and meet required standards.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document exam completion in patient medical records and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of exam areas and equipment, and notify supervisors of any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Supply Management and Inventory: Monitor supply levels and inform supervisors of ordering needs to ensure efficient operations.
- Training and Development: Participate in the orientation of new technologists and engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry advancements.
- Clerical and Administrative Duties: Perform related clerical duties, including data entry, log maintenance, and other tasks as required.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program and New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
- Registration and Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, required.
- Experience and Skills: Experience with Radiology Information Systems, PC, and radiographic equipment, including portable and fixed units, C-arms, and fluoroscopic equipment, required.
