We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Christus Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing programs for individuals with communicative disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a commitment to excellence in patient care, adhering to Administrative and Departmental policies.
  • Administer diagnostic evaluations and treatment programs for clients, ensuring timely completion of required documentation.
  • Involve clients and their families in therapeutic planning, goal setting, and recommendations for interventions.
  • Restore patients to their optimal level of independence and function through professional duties related to patient care.
  • Participate in intra-departmental and inter-departmental communication systems to achieve departmental and hospital goals.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of services through coordinated scheduling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation as specified in department policy and procedures manual.
  • Participate in medical chart peer review, case records review, and utilization review as necessary.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • Masters level degree in speech language pathology is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge is essential.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.

Experience

  • New graduates or experienced speech therapists are welcome to apply.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • Temporary license with Arkansas and Texas Board of Examiners is required.
  • Full license with American Speech and Hearing Association and Certification of Clinical Competence is desired.
