Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and prioritizing patient needs to develop effective care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing personnel, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of nursing practice standards and protocols.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure in NYS or eligibility for limited permit to practice required.
- A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications may be required depending on unit scope.
