Job Summary:

As a Sped Aide, you will provide instructional support to students with special needs in a variety of settings. Under general supervision, you will assist teachers in leading learning activities, monitor students during arrival and departure of buses, and assist students with math, spelling, and make-up work in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in leading learning activities and lead learning activities in the absence of a teacher

Monitor students during arrival and departure of buses, lunch lines, and during lunch period

Assist students with math, spelling, and make-up work in the classroom

Correct papers for teachers and prepare copies of teaching materials developed by teachers

Requirements:

Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one

Ability to work with students and teachers for the betterment of the student
