Commercial Debt Collector

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Debt Collector to join our Special Accounts Team at Simon's Agency, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of delinquent accounts and working with customers to resolve outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and develop strategies to resolve outstanding balances
• Interact with customers via phone and email to negotiate payment plans and resolve issues
• Prepare accurate account reconciliations and recommend resolution actions to leadership
• Develop and execute reporting and trend analysis on accounts to inform business decisions
• Provide requested documentation to auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a business or operations discipline + 2 years of relevant experience or associate degree + 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience with accounts receivable and collections is desired
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and high level of interpersonal skills with poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
