PeriAnesthesi Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled PeriAnesthesi Medical Assistant to join our team at Surgery Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform or assist with various tasks in a clinical setting, including patient preparation, EKGs, medical history collection, and sterile technique.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, perianesthesia staff, and anesthesia teams.
  • Assist with patient discharge from the post-anesthesia care unit.
  • Anticipate and prepare special equipment and supplies needed for patient visits.
  • Adhere to hand hygiene and standard precaution guidelines.
  • Provide age-appropriate care and document data per practice protocols.
Requirements:
  • Certification required (CMA, Pharmacy Tech, CNA, and/or EMT)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior healthcare experience and/or training preferred
