About the Role

This position will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with our major health system partners, ensuring seamless patient care transitions, and facilitating efficient referral processes. The Clinical Support Liaison will collaborate closely with our Operations Leadership and Business Development Managers to optimize account management strategies while leveraging their clinical expertise and knowledge of payer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Continuity of Care:
    • Ensure continuity of patient care by facilitating the timely transfer of medical records and information between healthcare providers and IVX internal stakeholders, such as the prior authorization department.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to streamline referral processes and minimize delays in patient appointments and treatments.
  • Collaboration with Business Development Manager:
    • Partner with the Business Development Manager to understand the unique needs and goals of each partner account and develop tailored strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Provide input and support for account planning and business development initiatives, leveraging clinical insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Clinical Expertise and Payor Knowledge:
    • Utilize clinical background and understanding of payer medical necessity criteria to support discussions with healthcare providers regarding authorization of prescribed biologics to support patient care.
    • Stay informed about payer policies, reimbursement guidelines, and formulary restrictions to facilitate discussions on drug coverage and authorization processes.
  • Hospital Visits and Relationship Building:
    • (Potentially Required) Regularly visit partner hospitals to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, case managers, and administrative staff.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical support inquiries and escalations, demonstrating a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to addressing partner needs.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Liaison to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work across the organization and identify potential areas of overlap or friction when processes are changed or implemented

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of care coordination and patient management processes. Experience in Ambulatory Infusion space with payor or provider entities is preferred.
