Are you a skilled nurse looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an Infusion Nurse to join our team at Southern Home Care Services, Inc.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infusion Nurse to provide high-quality care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes. As an Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering complex pharmaceutical products and providing exceptional clinical service to patients outside of the hospital setting.
Responsibilities- Administer medications, including immunoglobulin therapy, IV antibiotics, enteral and total parenteral nutrition, anti-inflammatory biologics, inotropes, and clotting factor and other specialty medications
- Assess patients and establish and implement individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff, physicians, and patients to develop and monitor goals of therapy
- Manage vascular access devices, including insertion of peripheral infusion devices or peripherally inserted catheters (if certified)
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication administration and management
- Evaluate progress toward goals and make recommendations to physicians for changes in the plan of care
- Coordinate nursing care with home health and other community agencies as indicated
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Previous infusion and home health care experience preferred
- Extensive experience in IV therapy preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Flexible schedule with the availability to work a variety of shift models
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must meet company standards for driving record as well as driver age requirement
We offer a competitive salary range of $55.00 - $58.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, tuition reimbursement, and more.
