Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Conduct patient interviews to determine medical needs and document findings in patient charts.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and weight.
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations as needed.
  • Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients.
  • Document services performed for billing purposes.
  • Perform various nursing tasks, including dressing wounds, giving enemas, and administering medication.
  • Observe patients and report any adverse reactions to medical personnel.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and record time and amount in patient charts.
  • Assemble and use medical equipment, such as catheters and oxygen suppliers.
  • Collect and process patient samples for testing.
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and serve food trays for patients with specific dietary needs.
  • Record food and fluid intake and output.
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and hospital operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
