We are looking for an experienced Bricklayer and Block Mason to join our team at Lang Masonry Contractors Inc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for laying building materials, such as brick, concrete block, stone, glass block, and terra-cotta block, to the highest quality for construction of walls and other structures.
Responsibilities:
- Lay building materials to the highest quality.
- Measure distance from reference points and mark guidelines to lay out work.
- Assist in calculating materials required to finish day out and topping wall out at required heights.
- Break or cut bricks, tiles, or blocks to size, using trowel edge, hammer, or power saw.
- Remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools, and finish mortar joints with jointing tools, for a sealed, uniform appearance.
- Assist laborers in stocking materials and building scaffolding, as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in masonry, preferably with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
