A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as microbiology or food science is essential, along with completion of HACCP training and hands-on experience in developing and executing HACCP-based food safety plans.

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: $68,000 per year
Work Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree

Key Responsibilities:
The SQF Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards, including the SQF Code, HACCP, and customer specifications. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing product sampling for sensory, microbiological, and environmental testing.
  • Optimizing resources to comply with FDA, GMP, and HACCP regulations.
  • Conducting daily Quality Assurance inspections and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Leading internal audits to foster continuous improvement.
  • Implementing Food Safety Plans and SQF programs.
  • Ensuring effective communication and maintenance of SQF documentation.
  • Managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Providing food safety training and conducting internal audits against various standards.

Qualifications:
  • Experience Level: Experienced
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (required)
