About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and leading the development of complex electrical systems for high-performance, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical/data center buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead the development of electrical systems, including generator plants, medium voltage distribution, uninterruptible power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with internal project discipline team members, equipment vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, and contribute to the development of high-quality technical and professional deliverables on projects and proposals.
  • Participate in local professional organizations, attend meetings and lectures, and contribute to conference programs, including panels, lectures, poster sessions, papers, and presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
  • 7+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for high-performance, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical/data center buildings.
  • Experience mentoring and training others in the field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact well with others and develop high-quality technical and professional deliverables.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and codes, with attention to detail and a highly organized approach.
