Barista Craftsman for Downtown Fergusons

We are seeking part-time Baristas to join our team at Mothership Coffee & Sunrise Coffee. As a Barista, you will be responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving hot and cold beverages with exceptional skill, and serving select food items to our guests. You will educate guests on the drink menu, make recommendations based on their preferences, and up-sell special menu items.

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to guests, including coffee, blended coffee, and tea, with correct customizations as requested.
• Describe product details to guests when requested.
• Receive and process guest payments.
• Serve prepared foods and baked goods, including sandwiches, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Clean and sanitize service and seating areas.
• Ensure proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating components by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stock supplies or retail products; may be required to manage inventory orders or receive products as directed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of regular guests.
• Ability to serve guests quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
• Reliable method of transportation to our Mothership Coffee Roasters Downtown Fergusons location.

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Worked as a Barista or in food service is a plus.
• Training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures is a plus.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
